Sour Cream Walnuts

Adding this rich vanilla and sour cream mixture to walnuts makes for a heavenly indulgence.

Ingredients

    • 2 cups granulated sugar
    • 1/2 cup reduced-fat sour cream
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 4 cups California walnut halves and pieces

Directions

    1. In a large saucepan, bring sugar and sour cream to a boil.  Boil for 1 minute.
    2. Remove pan from heat and stir in vanilla extract and walnut halves and pieces; stir until coating sets.
    3. Spread on cooking sheet to cool.  Makes 4 cups.
