Curried Walnuts
East meets West in this spicy, nutty affair.

Ingredients
- 2 cups California walnut halves and pieces
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp curry
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- Pinch of granulated sugar
- Pinch of salt
- Dash of Worcestershire sauce
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, boil California walnut halves and pieces for 5 minutes. Drain and discard any remaining liquid. Arrange walnuts in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake in a 350°F oven for 10 minutes. Shake vigorously in a colander to remove any loose skins.
- In a nonstick skillet, melt butter over low heat. Add curry and cayenne pepper; cook 1 minute.
- Toss walnuts in curried butter to coat. Add sugar, salt and Worcestershire sauce; toss again.
- Store in a covered container. Makes 2 cups.
