Research has demonstrated that the concerted action of nutrients and other bioactive substances in fruit, vegetables, whole grains, legumes and tree nuts, such as walnuts, is beneficial for health.
Updated to include recent research, this module outlines the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids in general and walnuts in particular, and discusses strategies for relaying information on the health benefits of walnuts and omega-3s to the public. This course is credentialed for: Dietetics/Nutrition (3.00 CPEU).
