California Walnuts invites social media fans to share their #SimplyGood walnut recipe photos for a chance to win $1000!
Folsom, Calif. (March 17, 2014) – The California Walnut Board (CWB) today launched “So Simple. So Good.” a photo recipe contest for fans and social media followers to share photos of simply good walnut recipes through creative and beautiful photography. The contest – which merges the rising popularity of food photography and the prevalent desire among consumers to create delicious and easy recipes – will run from March 17 through April 18.
Participants can access the contest through the CWB’s Facebook page, where fans will be encouraged to “like” the Facebook page and submit a photo of their latest walnut creation with a brief description. Each week, the CWB will select one photo of a great simple recipe idea and reward the week’s winner with a prize of $1000. By the end of the contest, five lucky walnut fans will have received $1000 each.
To spur creativity, as well as share suggestions for nutritious cooking, the CWB has created 13 videos of simple recipes that incorporate walnuts. The videos range in meal type, from Greek Yogurt with Walnuts and Walnut Banana Smoothie to a great Game Day Snack and Walnut-Crusted Salmon. Throughout the contest, the California Walnuts Facebook page will post these and other delicious walnut recipe ideas, reminding followers of all the different ways to incorporate walnuts into their diets.

3. Fill out the form with first and last name, email address, and upload a photo of a simply good walnut recipe.
4. Once photos are uploaded, participants can invite friends to enter the contest by posting on Facebook or sharing on Twitter.
