“I operate on the belief that food tastes better when it’s prepared by hand and made with healthy, whole ingredients,” says our featured chef and TV personality Aida Mollenkamp. Born and raised in California, the Food Network’s host of Ask Aida has a deep appreciation for the incredible bounty the Golden state offers.
Aida coins her cooking style as “west coast eclectic” which combines seasonal ingredients with ethnic flavors of contemporary California. “Though my food is rooted in European techniques and Mediterranean ingredients, I take artistic license to mix things up for recipes that are creative, reliable, easy, and healthy,” she explains. And that is why walnuts figure prominently in much of Aida’s cooking.
