This is an easy bread to make, and goes well with a turkey holiday dinner. It's also great lightly toasted and used for sandwiches.

- Ingredients

2-1/2 cups WATER
1 Tbl YEAST
2 Tbl SUGAR
1 Tbl SALT
1 Tbl BLACK PEPPER
1/4 cup MILK
1/2 cup OLIVE OIL
1 large EGG
9 cups FLOUR
1-1/2 cups WALNUTS, lightly toasted
1 cup DRIED CRANBERRIES
2 Tbl WALNUT OIL
1 Tbl COARSE SALT
- Directions

Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm (not hot) water and let stand until yeast is active and bubbling.
Add salt, pepper, milk, olive oil & egg and mix together.
Add flour and knead for 15 minutes.
Lightly toast walnuts and crush with a rolling pin.
Add walnuts and cranberries to dough and knead until uniformly distributed.
Cover with a towel and let rise until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 450 F.
Push dough onto 2 lightly greased 9 x 13 baking sheets, filling sheets uniformly.
Using your knuckles, made indentations on the dough.
Bake until golden brown, approximately 20 minutes.
Remove bread and place on a rack.
Drizzle breads with walnut oil and sprinkle with coarse salt.
