Smart Living
Your Health
Your health should be a priority in your life.
Dr. Michael Roizen believes that “you can change the way your body works, and the way you feel, with the food you eat.” Through his experience as a practicing physician, he know first hand that people can increase their quality of life with strategic eating choices. Dr. Roizen and some of our other experts have provided a few initial ways you can start living being proactive about your health. Click each topic for more information:
Exercise:
- Walk 30 minutes a day and call someone and tell them you did it.
- Purchase a good pedometer.
- Suck in your stomach on every elevator you get on for the length of the ride (this will help strengthen your inner core muscles).
Diet:
- Eat 10 tablespoons of tomato paste a week.
- A favorite– roast some walnuts every day for 8 to 10 min on a cookie sheet at 350 degrees, and eat a handful a day.
- Purchase a quality 8-inch kitchen knife to help easily and quickly prepare fresh food for recipes.
Lifestyle:
Not only do walnuts taste great, but research has suggested that walnuts may benefit your health. California walnuts are a satisfying superfood and their convenience, versatility, and portability make them an ideal ingredient or snack.
