From June 2015 through January 2016, California Walnuts partnered with Delta Airlines on a unique promotional opportunity to showcase California Walnuts within the popular fruit and cheese plates on selected domestic in-flight menus.
California Walnuts provided a “did you know” fact on each cheese plate box to educate Delta consumers that California Walnuts are an excellent source of plant-based omega-3’s. The California Walnut logo appeared along side the fruit and cheese plate description, resulting in more than 62 million impressions.
During the promotion over 500,000 fruit and cheese plates were sold between June and January. California Walnuts will remain on the fruit and cheese plate through June 2016.
