Don’t miss out on an opportunity to enter in the California Walnuts Mediterranean Diet Grocery Contest.
The team at California Walnuts is reaching out to supermarket dietitians across the country this May to provide stores with the tools needed to be top contenders in this walnut showdown. As dietitians, you are challenged to go “walnutty” by decorating your store with walnut flare, initiating walnut demos, and utilizing newsletters and social media to provide customers with all the information needed to incorporate delicious and nutritious walnuts into their diet as part of Mediterranean Month. The stores demonstrating the most walnut-involvement could win up to $1,000 to be used at the store. Be sure to look out for information from the California Walnut Commission in April to kick off this event with featured Mediterranean diet recipe ideas, various educational tools, such as the Mediterranean Diet Shopping Guide, and links to the published research outlining the healthful benefits of walnuts and the Mediterranean Diet. To make sure you’re on our distribution list, simply email email@example.com with the subject line, “I want to go walnutty!” Official Rules posted below.
